I have personally been in the medical profession for the majority of my life. I have met eczema sufferers from all walks of life and each of them had one thing in common. They were looking for some sort of cure. It is important for you to understand that eczema is often referred to as dermatitis or atopic dermatitis.
If you are an individual who is suffering from eczema you have probably had run ins with a lot of other so called health professionals. These medical professionals are quick to prescribe you some overly priced eczema cream. They will never tell you that there are several eczema products out there that are cheap and all natural that will work just as good if not better.
During my research I have personally found that virgin coconut oil works miracles on eczema skin conditions. I have seen countless doctors who had given up on their patients as well as their so-called eczema products. They felt that the condition was beyond help.
For most eczema sufferers this is unacceptable. This is what drives them to search for cures themselves such as the virgin coconut oil that I mentioned earlier. The best part about virgin coconut oil is it can be purchased at any health food store, and it’s extremely affordable.
What do you have to loose? Go ahead and give the virgin coconut oil a try. All that you have to do is massage the oil into the affected area and or areas. That’s it! Turn on your favorite music, lay back and let the oil go to work.

The problem begins when big business begins to step into the picture and hide the truth from people like you and I. Since this article is about eczema products and the truth I am going to move on.
I know I may have digressed, however I am back on track now. Lets move on to another type of eczema which is known as, “contact dermatitis.” This condition can be triggered by a variety of things such as jewelry, perfumes, eye glasses, the chemicals in cosmetics, lipstick, lotions, soaps, even fabric softeners. The list goes on and on, my goal is to just give you a general idea of some of the ways that some individuals can be affected by contact dermatitis.
Before you start treating yourself for eczema I highly recommend that you buy a journal and keep track of your results. Track when you have a breakout and some of the possible reasons that you had the breakout. Your goal is to narrow down and eventually determine what is causing the breakouts. You will also want to track the results of your treatment i.e. is your natural treatment working? If so how long is it taking to work? Track every possible detail.
After about 30 days of keeping a journal you will have a much better understanding of your condition. You should be able to determine whether or not you have contact dermatitis or the type of dermatitis that is triggered by internal triggers such as food, liquids, etc…
